Abstract: The Philippines are one of the most important exporting countries of temporary labor migrants. Annually, there are at least 1 million Filipinos who are sent abroad for work. In order to manage this large flow of migrant workers, the country has established numerous public institutions that provide services to migrant workers and their families at all stages of the migration process. The Philippines are therefore considered a global model in managing international labor migration.
